Basic salary for a PO is Rs.14500/-, but in SBI there will be provision for four additional increments, at the time of joining itself. So in SBISBII the starting basic salary would be Rs. 16900/-. You will also get Dearness Allowance which is presently about 96% of the basic salary, dearness allowance remains same in all banks but it is linked to your basic salary, apart from Basic + D.A. you will also get CCA and HRA.
In SBI the lease rent facility is very good as it is much higher in comparison to other banks. From the very start you will get about Rs. 6000/- for leased house (it also depends on the type of city in which you are posted, for e.g. in cities like New Delhi and Mumbai it is in the range of Rs. 15000 – Rs. 29500).
Apart from all this, there are a few perks as well, such as petrol allowance, entertainment allowance, cleansing material etc. In SBI the rupee value of all such perks would be around Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 6000/- and it always keep on increasing.
